We worked with Edinburgh’s Climate Change Institute (ECCI) because they are a world leading hub for climate change, experienced in kick-starting new ideas to accelerate climate action.

“The most important thing for us is to reduce carbon impact on a global scale. This is why we have installed the Novus purifier in our centre.”
Jamie Brogan,Head of Climate Partnerships
In Scotland, transporting clean water uses more electricity than any other industry, 442 Gigawatt hours (GWh) each year– enough to power nearly 140,000 homes. There is also a large and growing reliance on bottled water for higher purity uses.
We all need clean water, but globally transporting pure water has a huge environmental impact, and combined with the packaging wasteit produces, is unsustainable for our future. This is why we are so excited by Novus' sustainable and reliable water purification technology.
Novus have the potential to localise water purification reliably for the first time. Their technology is the first consumable free water purifier that delivers high purity water regardless of the source and with no consumable parts. We are installing their technology because carbon reduction in watercan have a global impact.
